Me with my new hair.

She becomes a "firey one!" or something like that... I had breakfast this morning with family, ordered myself some wings from papa john's for supper, and had cake on the half hour of my birth. I dyed my hair hair as well, and if the pic works, you'll see it's results. It's henna, my hair still needs to dry some and the color should get brighter still... First time using henna but it won't be my last!

@toniganzon I know how you feel I think. I have a nephew who will be 16 in four days. He says he's old and I just look at him and shake my head.

Yes, henna is a natural product. I also used some natural shampoo before I dyed it and natural conditioner afterwards. I love red, thank you.

The color came out nice. My first time to henna I had so much gray I came out almost orange. Yes, it deepended. I loved that it wore off gradually and I could redo it as often as I needed to without ruining my hair. I found it to be much less expensive than commercial dye.

Yes, Deidre was telling me about the benefits of using henna. My only complaint is that it didn't take to my roots. For some reason no hair dye ever does. I suppose it's more my fault than the dye itself though.

I was going to answer "die your hair!" but you beat me to the punch ;)

I actually bought hair dye a while back but never used it because the bathroom I now use has no ventilation. Using henna instead was just as much for it's healthier alternative as it was for the fact it wouldn't suffocate me.

Happy Birthday, you are still so young. Enjoy this day and go out to do something nice to celebrate. Go watch a movie, or buy something for yourself.
