Have I Told You Lately...

Have I told you lately that I love Louisville, KY? We moved here back in March and I am so happy. The scenery is beautiful with everything being so green.
The weather isn't bad either. There is humidity but it is nowhere near as humid as it is in Memphis, TN where I was born and raised. You can actually breathe outside. It didn't really start getting hot here until the end of June. I'm used to the hot weather hitting around April or May.
I've also been told that Louisville has snow in the winter and there is usually always snow on Christmas. I can't remember the last time I have seen snow on Christmas day and I can't wait.
What's the weather like where you live?

@bunnybon7 Louisville isn't usually very humid but the last week or so it has been unseasonably hot and humid for this time of year here.

@simone10 It's about 90 and will escalate to about 100 toward the end of next week. The real heat usually doesn't happen until August.

Everything green! Oh dear, that surely is a wonderful place to stay. Am so happy for you. I could not wait to see you posting your first snow photo in that place.
We are on a rainy weather but rain comes mostly at noon time and in the morning the sun shines. I love this kind of weather because it makes my plants grow all the more.

Hot, always hot. I live in a tropical country where there's only two seasons. Dry and wet.

@simone10 yes it is. And considering that our country is an archipelago, it makes it even worse.

Right now it is hot and humid, I hate it. I was in Louisville in January a few years ago and it was definitely quite cold.

@simone10 They say San Diego is as near perfect as it gets, but then there are earthquakes so nothing is ever perfect is it lol

@BelleStarr I've heard that about San Diego too. I'm not sure if I could handle earthquakes. We had one once in Memphis and it really scared me. It was back in the 70's and I was a new mother. I grabbed my daughter up and went to stand in the doorway. By that time it was over.

We have driven through KY several times and I used to live on the boarder in TN. We did enjoy it very much there. Glad you love it there. That makes life much better. I have lived places I did not like and yuck, makes life really uncomfortable

Last December 25 it was 55 degrees here. Hope you're able to breathe today with the heat index of 102.
Still, you're right, it is better than Memphis' weather, even if just barely.
Anyway, welcome to Louisville. Glad you like it.

I'm in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, and our weather is hot and humid. We are surrounded by the Great Lakes and the clouds pick up a lot of moisture from those lakes and hold it in the air. But it will cool off by late August or early September and be more bearable. I prefer the autumn over the summer.
Its nice that you're so happy in your new city.

It's hot. We live in the midwest. So we get 4 seasons which I'm glad for!
