I love, love, love watermelon. I could eat it everyday. It is sweet, juicy, and refreshing. There is nothing better than watermelon on a hot summer's day. Besides being delicious watermelon is a nutritious snack. Did you know that watermelon is grown in over 96 countries worldwide? Not only that watermelon is an ideal health food because it doesn't contain any fat or cholesterol, is high in fiber and vitamins A and is a good source of potassium. It makes it the perfect snack for dieters and health conscious people. Are you a fan of watermelon?

I do not like it. Mike does. He's growing some sugar babies in the garden. They are the right size for him. Enjoy yours. Have a blessed day

@dbherald the potassium is one of the biggest reasons I started eating them. I take a couple of medications that seem to leech the potassium from my body.

I love it but - it makes me burp and makes me pee, so I don't eat it any longer. Someone said it's good for your heart but if I'm awake all night peeing my heart isn't getting rested LOL!

@AbbyGreenhill it doesn't make me burp but it sure keeps me running to the bathroom. I try not to eat it after 5 that way it doesn't have me running all night.

@HazySue I surely did it was awesome. You can eat any spicy food after or before you eat the watermelon, as for me I rather eat the watermelon first, in that way it neutralize the spices and acidic food that goes down to your stomach allowing you to enjoy your meal

@GardenGerty sometimes we don't treat ourselves often enough. Of course, if we had it all the time we would probably get tired of it.

I don't know... Anytime I buy watermelon (pre-cut) I find it severely lacking in flavor. And then it goes bad really quickly. I'm not really fond of it.

@HazySue I don't know. Maybe they can tell by the colour whether a watermelon is going to be flavorful or not and use the "bad" ones for their fruit trays. They charge so much for those things they shouldn't be doing that.

@patgalca I don't know how they know if it is sweet or bitter or what. I do know they need a better way. I end up many times m=with tasteless fruit when I buy it precut. I now buy fruit whole and cut it myself.

@patgalca I buy it whole and cut it myself. I find, like you, the precut is a little lacking in flavor. I wonder why that is.

Watermelon is my take it or leave it fruit. Not a huge fan. Every time I buy it, it basically goes to waste. I eat it mostly at picnics. I get just what I need and I'm good to go for the rest of the summer. I saw some decent sized ones in the store the last time I went shopping with my son and suggested we buy one. He feels the same way about them I do - it would go to waste before we ate it. So I left it for someone who like you loves watermelon and could eat it every day. Yes, I am aware of the health benefits.

@just4him you can't like everything. For some it will go to waste because it is so big. For me it is gone in a few days. It helps that my husband eats it too.

I don't like watermelon never have, I don't care for any type of melon at all, My family however loves it. I can't even stand the smell of it, so when they are eating it I go outside so I don't have to smell it. Wish I liked it.
