Windows screenshot

@ScribbledAdNauseum suggested I try to take a screenshot of these photos that pop up on my Win 10, before I sign in. I didn't know if it would work, but as you can see, it did. You can see in the upper right hand corner that I have a choice. I didn't really care for this one, so I clicked the "not a fan" option. I am still surprised that not everyone with Win 10 sees this, so I wonder if it is because I have more than one account or that I have it set up to sign in. (don't know if computers today allow one to not sign in, like it used to).

Now I understand what you are referring to. When I read your previous post I was under the impression that you were referring to the desktop wallpapers, whereas this is the splash screen image. Mine has been set to a fixed image, so I suspect that you may be using a different option which allows the display to randomly change.

@Carmelanirel2 It is probably loaded selection from which you can choose, but it is set to display the same image every time. There should be a way to use a personal image, but I have not bothered to check.

So you have yours set to a different option? What does it do? Show a picture you choose and is it one of the pictures they supply?

many downgrade but unless there are hardware issues I'd not do that as eventually support for your OS may run out. What I've got now came with win 10 but I've downgraded in the past back to 7 as the monitor I had on a netbook wasn't good enough to get ten as it should be.

@Carmelanirel2 yeah I had sound driver issue. Windows 10 refused to let me listen to anything. So downgraded to Windows 7 and things are good.

@changjiangzhibin89 So no sign in page? @simone10 mentioned she finally saw it when she didn't turn her computer off. so I tihnk that when someone only puts their computer to sleep and not off, that is when the pictures pop up.

@crazyhorseladycx I don't blame you and I am starting to see the trend, most who had 7 don't like 10, whereas those who had 8, love 10...I obviously had 8.

You must have Win 7 then, because only one person I know that had 8, didn't like 10. Most everyone who had 8, loves 10 because it is similar to 7, which is more similar to XP (In my opinion, XP was the BEST OS)

@Carmelanirel2 yes ma'am, i've got win7. i "missed" the xp one, i tend to hold onto what works fer me, lol. i'd been willin' to give win 10 a go, but 't killed my puter. my only defense 'twas to remove'n restore back to win7.

But what do you know about them? Do you save them? Will these be available in the future?

@Carmelanirel2 I don't save them. They are on my screen when I turn on the computer before I sign in to the computer.

@Carmelanirel2 You're right. For some reason, these Exodus homes from the Netherlands remind me of the Scottish Parliament. It might just be because it looks so unusual and angular.

It's good that you have the option to choose whether you like it or not, so you might be showing more related pictures to you in future, am I right? I am not sure when I will upgrade my OS to Windows 10, it will be fun exploring the new features.

My computer is just the same boring start up screen all the time that I have to type a 4 digit passcode in. I hate it I wish it would just start up and go right to the homescreen without having to type in a code.

Now I am really confused because I figured computers where you don't have to sign in is the reason people are not getting these pictures...Oy, if only someone knew for sure.

What are you and Mike talking about lol. I feel I'm out in the dark. The only annoying thing I get is a pop up in the middle of the page..

Do you have Windows 10? On Windows 10, when I wake my computer up (because I don't shut down, I put it to sleep) I will get various pictures and an option to like or not like the picture, just like what is in the picture I shared in the post and in this one in the thread, a picture I saved and liked. So Mike and I are talking about the pictures we like and how we do see similar pictures.

My uncle was able to vote on these things before I was. I don't know if it has something to do with screen resolution or if it's something to do with windows headquarters itself. I'm glad it worked, and yes I'm not quite a fan of that one either.

Well, a big thank you, because by taking a screenshot I can get a better picture for the ones I love.

And from your other comment, I wonder if this happens to those who don't turn their computer off? Then again, I wonder if that is a bad idea, that windows can do this only while the computer is sleeping...

@dianadee If only I thought about it sooner, I can't count the many imagines I would have loved to save that I may never see again.

And I have no idea why. Do you sign in to open your computer? Do you have more than one account on your computer? Or, one member said his screen is locked, so he only has one picture that is there when he get on his computer, but I think he set it up that way..
