I find it hard to learn English when I come to the college. What I learn in class is not enough, especially for spoken English. I can write complex sentences, however,I feel my mind is empty when I talk. This summer,I stay at school, longing to improve myself(Although I miss mom's dishes a lot). My friend commends me myLot.,so I read people's words to feel this language. Anyway, can you give me some advice about learning English? =v=

Start writing. Be it small story. Blog post or anything. Just start writing something. You'll make mistake. And other people will correct you and you develop from there.

@praveenkumar06 You are very gifted for which you can learn two language by yourself.Language is very magical from my perspective.I want,if possible,to command languages as many as I can whereas I do can not speak English well now. These days,I read individuals' expressions there.Your sentences is different from what I learn from my text books and more close to spoken language.I think I will read yours advice many times whenever I fell discouraged.

You can check speaking exercises online or YouTube. You said that you can write complex sentences, then that is great. Write more and read it aloud. I think that is a good practice. And you can ask your friends to use English when speaking all the time.

I am a native English speaker, and I am trying to learn Spanish, and I am having the same problem as you. I can read and write Spanish very well, but I have trouble speaking it. In order to get better at a language, you must practice speaking it as much as you can. I have found that if I practice speaking, I get better and better at Spanish. Good luck to you!

1) engage with as much english media as you can. Watch TV, read books, listen to English songs. I'm learning Spanish, so I'm watching a lot of telenovelas. I learned a lot of Japanese watching anime, too. 2) just use the language everyday. I find myself just randomly talking in Spanish sometimes. It helos shift your brain from translating into English to just talking.

Hello! The best way to learn anything is to use as many sense organs as possible. To have a command over any language, one should start listening it ( movies and listening songs/y watching videos can be a good source), write it ( blogs. diary entry, keeping journal etc), make reading a habit (newspaper, novels, blogs, articles- anything that interests you), communicate in the language (join discussion forums, start blogging). If looking to learn some rules or to add some vocab then you can search for verbolog,wordpress.com Good luck!

Practice. Practice with people who will critique you usefully, pointing out what went wrong and why. Remember that English is an illogical language, and many native speakers do not actually use it properly.

Thanks. There are "English Corner" in my school.Nonetheless,I am too shy to talk with people. That is one of the reason why I can write but speak. And your last sentence is very cheering.Thank you again!

Hello Caca. The most important way to learn English well is to use it frequently in all ways, like reading, writing, listening and speaking. Mylot is very good forum to help improve your writing and make your ideas more productive and creative when you read and respond to so many discussions that may interest you. So long as you insist on developing yourself in all of these aspects, there is absolutely no problem for you to make greater progress in English. Enjoy yourself, Caca.
