Good morning.As we prepared to attend to the Celebration of Life. For our good friend and one of my tennis partner. He died from complication of bladder cancer. He work with Mike as he was a psychologist Mike was psychiatrist social worker. I have my speech written down.Just in case I have to nerve to get up and say a few things.But I get the jitter facing people and hope that I can get through with this.It is a very warm day.I am sure the place has AC. Christina his wife suggest no gift or money.Just a rock. Mike has a beauty one to bring. here is a photo of the rock that he found.

@amadeo I think this suggestion of Christina is a good one.It wont wilt away like flowers.It will be a symbol of tribute for Thomas.

@AbbyGreenhill.I really do not know.I know the rocks that she get will sort of a tribute to her husband. The rocks will be in her yard.She did not want flowers .Flowers die but not rocks. Interesting.

Sorry about your friend - but I know it's a Celebration of Life . . . your speech will be just fine! A rock? Interesting! It would last much longer than flowers for sure.

Wow. Bladder cancer. I had cancer in my bladder also. But it was only on the surface. And it is all gone now. I guess I caught it early and was lucky. Sad. I think this celebration you are going to is wonderful. We all should celebrate life.

@inertia4 you are a lucky person there.He had to have is bladder removed.He went through Chemo and radiation. then to Boston to see a specialist.From there he went down hill.

@amadeo It must have been way advanced. Sad. I know I am lucky. Very lucky. But my doctor told me that cancer in the bladder is very common. And most of them are not deadly. Only if it was never detected and we find out too late. I wound up peeing blood, that is how I found out. And it was very early on. So, it is all gone now.

@Juliaacv. the meaning of the rock she want to have a memorial in her yard.His ashes will be there. they have lived at the ocean during the summer.Rocks always been a favorite to him. No special meaning.I think that this is a very good idea.When it is done and hopefully to get a shot of it.
