I am going to give you a peek preview of the lovely postcard that arrived today from @Asylum . . . and hopefully the time it lies in wait of your viewing, will give it justice.
Strangely Nostalgia was my theme for today and no sooner did i post a few quotes on days gone by, that this wonderful picture of Chester in 1910 arrives at my doorstep.
Barry, I can imagine how beautiful the Tudor Buildings in Chester must still look today, and hopefully I shall lay my own eyes on them soon. Thank you for the thoughts and postcard from your day out meandering the UK Countryside. Just love it when the Queen pays me a visit as well!
I am playing Lawn Bowls championships this week-end, so I may be a little scarce . . but dont any of you be scarce - leave your calling card for my return visit.
July is at its end . . . August is at hand.

@ison_1 I had no control over myself on Saturday - just a crying baby but I did win one and loose two - yesterday I won the last game - and the guy who eventually won the tournament. I was the only one that beat him. Alas I am my own weak-link, but my mind had no control over my emotions

I want so badly to get in on this "postcard exchange" on myLot. I have a dozen people now, helping to find me some picture post cards. My daughter suggested yesterday for me to go to a Visitor Center, so I am going to do that today. Hopefully, I will be able to find some postcards. I never thought that they would be that difficult to find.

Postcards can be extremely elusive these days. This is undoubtedly due to the changing technology which is reshaping everyday life.
At one time it was a natural part of any holiday to send a few postcards to friends and family, whereas nowadays people either send emails with attached photographs or post them on social media sites such as Facebook. This has destroyed the demand for postcards, resulting in many establishments considering it no longer worthwhile to stock them.
They can be quite abundant in holiday resorts, as I discovered recently in Malta and Majorca. However, in many towns and cities they are seriously difficult to locate.

What a lovely card that is with a view of the old city. I hope you win at bowling!
