How German Brand Bosch Saved my Croissants!

Summer is here in Scotland, even if previous thunderstorms and wet days have ruined some of my holiday time off work. However where foods are concerned, it means a return to little treats like healthy salads, home made soups, cool drinks and sometimes making myself a treat like hot croissants with butter and jam. I own a Bosch toaster which I bought for my late parents in 2011. I choose Bosch because my late parents adored the brand. Bosch stands for quality, durability and longevity and the matching kettle they owned stopped working last year when purchased in 2009. Hunting around my kitchen for the toaster warming rack has meant turning my kitchen inside and out for the pop up metal rack that sits on top of the toaster. I seem to have mislaid it or it has got lost in transit. It is a rack that sits just above the toaster slots and where breads or croissants can be gently heated up without ruining them in a microwave. I looked online for any Bosch spare parts with this toaster in mind. I can’t seem to find anything, sadly. So I phoned Bosch UK to find out if the spare part was available. Well, the part is not available in the UK which surprises me given that the Bosch TAT6100 series has been on sale since 2004! The spare part would cost me £25 for the part to be shipped from Germany. That's nuts. I could buy the same toaster again for that price but I want to keep my original TAT6103 toaster as there is nothing wrong with it. After complaining online to Bosch on their Facebook page, it seems a kind hearted rep is getting the part for me free! Danke! (c)Nar2/crystalvisions2016.
