Seriously?

I posted a poem that I had on my blog and it was deleted. I was so shocked about it. It's not copying because it's my own work. Why do they need to do it? I guess it's not good if someone deleted it. I am so sorry but I feel about it. It was my first one and now it's gone.

It's duplicate content. Many sites have policies against content being posted on them if it already exists elsewhere on the internet - even if it's yours.

If something exists elsewhere on the internet you are not allowed to post it here. Perhaps you could re-write it with different words - I've done that. You can go to GoAskAlice and ask the reason why it was deleted, just to make sure.

I guess the same content in more than one place is not allowed. so yes that would be duplicate content deleted.

@ayahmdee13 yes it happens. if you want to post something it's better to use it on blog and just make discussion post directing people for that poem. just make sure to have longer text in discussion.
