Who do you fear most?

Of all the people on earth, who do you actually fear most? Is it a neighbor? Is it a relative? Is it a leader of some country? Is it your local police? Is it that man who's skin is a different color than yours? Is it that person who calls God, Allah? Do you fear even your own self? By that I mean, do you sometimes feel that you yourself might make a mistake and do something you might later live to regret? Are you sometimes afraid of turning on the television just because you fear you might see some terrible news? Do you fear answering the telephone because you might be getting a call from someone trying to collect a debt or a relative who might be going to bring you some bad news? Do you feel afraid that the wrong person will be elected president and the whole country might be ruined by them? Do you feel like there is no way things will get any better? Read your Bible. Take time to be not afraid. Take time to be brave and learn from the writings of the 66 books that date back over 3500 years to the very beginning when Moses first set food on this earth. The answers are there. You need not be afraid. Just a thought while I have my second cup of coffee.

I am very afraid of fire in the area where I live. It's very hot and dry . Almost every day we hear of another local fire, fortunately they've been able to contain them so far. But boy, we need some rain.

I do have fears but like you said, when I have these fears, I remember what is written in the Bible. I know God is in control and He is with me.

I fear those in power who don't know how to (or who forget) to respect that power. I don't fear people of different skin color. I am saddened at the thought skin color should separate people, or that skin color comes with entitlements. As humans, we have more in common than more to divide us. We have more to gain by understand one another than to gain by conquering one another. As a non-believer, I don't care how another person prays or if he does. I believe that everyone has the right to follow the dictates of their conscience as long as it doesn't interfere with another person's life. The Muslim and the Jew's right to follow their religion is every bit as precious to me as the Baptist's.

I don't understand why people have time to worry and fear all that stuff. What I worry about most is health and having enough finances to live my life out. Too much worry about who will be president when making your life better begins at home. Shouldn't we dwell on improving our lives and health rather than obsessing over the next door neighbor's skin color?

Getting into debt. The fear of forgetfulness or losing memory.

Having read my Bible cover to cover several times, I would humbly submit that there is as much to dismay as to encourage therein - particularly if you try to take it absolutely literally! And again, I would humbly submit that there are as many questions as answers. And, yes, I am a Christian.

This is such a good question and I really had to sit and think about it for a while. Over the years I would have had such different answers to this question. Today I can honestly say that I'm not afraid of anyone.
