Brownouts Ruin the Day

I was not able to myLot yesterday due to that 10 hours power interruption. There was a prior announcement, but still our daily activities were so much affected it. I hope the "energy men" did their fixing so fine, so there will be no more power outages in the future. This is also the reason why I hate to see people wasting electricity; it is one of the reasons why Electric companies resort to cutting supply, saying they are on a critical level. People should know that it does not matter if they are capable of paying the bills, but think of conserving power also; and for the sake of the environment.

do you see homes or businesses that have solar panels in your region?

It is one of my wishes, to have solar panels installed in our home. I had attended a seminar about it and maybe when we have the funds, we will have it installed.

In our coordination meeting with the design professionals for our hotel last night, they asked if we had plans to go solar but at this time, it's still too expensive so we said no.

@acelawrites I think it's even more expensive to install for homes.

Our power was out for a day last week. We were warned of the stoppage but we were away anyway so it didn't really affect us.

@acelawrites We don't often have them - only when they need to do maintenance.

I am sorry to hear this. My three older grandchildren are bad about turning off lights and such. When they have to start paying the bills they will look at things differently. Hopefully they will!

@acelawrites Very true. We are always telling them to turn off the lights and they don't listen. I know what would happen to me when I was a kid and didn't turn out the lights.

They should go after power thieves who also contribute to system losses which is charged to the legitimate consumers.

Nowadays conservation of energy is really needed to prevent power outage. Good thing we never experience brownout anymore here in the western part .

So good you don't have it. They say there was maintenance they had to do so they cut off power supply.

Yes, it is almost whole day yesterday. Tre, we have to conserve energy and providers must improve their services too; lower the rates.

Yes, though this time of the year it is cooler in our place, and the winds are strong, and soothing.

So sorry for that experience you had, its really frustrating indeed, but we all have to be ready when that happens. like conserving water since the water pumps shutsdown as well. We can't think of that conserving as of this moment since grandma can't survive with out the AC. I mean, every month our bill has always been 5k. I hope that changes when she goes back home.

AC consumes a lot of electricity; the reason why we are not using it and relies only on electric fans, though our place is cooler than the rest of the places here.

Yes, everyone everywhere should be conserving. I remember some summers when we had rolling blackouts. And some of it here had to do with corrupt officials, but that is not always the case.

Low or high frequency of supply is also a reason for power failure

Yes it is, when there's high demand for it, and when the supply is low, there comes the problem.
