I'm Going to Be a Grandmoo (again)

I'm beginning to feel old. Or maybe I simply am old. My oldest granddaughter graduated from high school this year and has started college and has a job. She is an adult. I could easily be a great grandmother, not just a grandmother. But, she has a career plan to become a doctor and it isn't likely she will be having children anytime soon. Still, the thought of being old enough to be a GREAT grandmother is hard for me to grasp. When my oldest granddaughter was beginning to talk she called me "grandmoo" instead of granny or grandma. The name has stuck with each of my grandchildren as well as many young children who aren't even related to me. Even a few adults call me Grandmoo. Not sure why! I have 8 grandchildren, 7 girls and 1 boy. I thought the boy, who is the youngest, was the last in the line of my grandchildren. Nope, there is more to come. My youngest daughter found out she is pregnant. It's a girl! I look forward to one more sweet little voice calling me Grandmoo. Photo credit: Public Domain, Pixabay

Thank you. There sure are a lot of girls in my family. That's awesome that your Mom had only girls, but the grandchildren are all boys.
