Long story short wich is never a short story with me EVER! A property that was part of a land contract several years ago has a potential buyer again. However, the exit for this commercial car wash will be on to our residential street right by the kids bus stop. Now we live off of a major highway, the cars hardly stop for the bus let alone do you think the cars exiting from the car wash will watch for the kids? Do you think they will slow down for one minute? I've called the town... can't do anything. Called the Sheriff they can't do anything... waiting for a call back from the school district transportation person. It feels like the only thing anyone cares about is getting that property redevloped not the kids, not the neighbors , not the property values, not our well water.... and most of all my biggest pet peeve is that THEY DON"T HAVE TO LIVE HERE!!! If it was next to their homes they might feel otherwise. Most of us can't afford to move for one reason or another so if feels like our hands are tied from every angle of this situation.

That sounds like it could be a real problem. Have you written to the newspaper? You might get a letter to the editor published or even a response from them in the form of a story. Try a local radio station, too.

True those are good points and or suggestions Peavy. Still waiting the developer to contact "the neighbors" aka the whole neighborhood not just households when there are 3 more that abut that property and 6 across the road who will be impacted.

@3SnuggleBunnies I hope you can stop them! Maybe if the entire neighborhood got together they could do something.

That's so awful. Wow, I feel for you. I've been trying to deal with red tape, too. Nothing about modern life has really gotten any easier.

Where we live on the other side of the Road they allowed an overtake sign almost right where we have to drive in to get to our place. End result is now its very dangerous to cross that Road as the Cars are all overtaking each other all the time. They act like little children worse. We get rude signs made at us too if we are trying to get into the driveway as well. Although your situation sounds really complicated too maybe there is a good solution to it all.

Sadly a kid will have to die or get seriously injured before something is done!

I think local people should be consulted when businesses of this nature are being considered for an area.
