People gathered at the National Mall to "make" a arrowhead to celebrate the 100th birthday of our National Parks. According to this article the arrowhead represents " symbolizing the major facets of the national park system. A Sequoia tree and bison represent vegetation and wildlife, mountains and water represent scenery and recreation, and the arrowhead shape represents history and archaeology."
The National Park Service was created in 1916 in an act signed by then-President Woodrow Wilson. Happy birthday to our National Parks!!

Wilson did us proud I think. Here in Boise we have so many city parks Its nice. I can remember when I was about eight and went to Yellowstone for the first time.

Yes, I I don't remember hearing that had happened. But too hot here to go there.

I have been to many National Parks and Monuments but will never be able to get to them all.
