The Treasury Department is Outsourcing their Calls

Did you know about this? Yes, today I saw the notice come up on My TV that the Treasury Department was calling. I was shocked!! The Treasure looking me for me? I ran up and answered the phone. They asked for me!! Oh the Treasury knows my name, how great is that!! An obviously foreign man told me that there was a case against me and was I aware of it. I said yes I was I had been in contact with the FBI. He hesitated for a second or two, not an answer he was expecting. 'What did they tell you" he asked. "They told me that you were an idiot and to hang up on you" and that is what I did. Oh, that felt pretty good. Finally, I had the last word with one of these crooks. So if you see the Treasury calling you, maybe you should ask for a take out order. That will throw them off!! Are they so stupid that they think I will believe that our government is outsourcing collection calls? It didn't even say IRS it said Treasury, When will it end? maybe I should call them back and find out if the FBI has gotten back to them?

Great response! It upsets me that they scam so many people. Call them back, waste their time. It keeps them from scamming someone else while you keep them busy on the phone.

I have received a call like that too but wasn't able to come up with a good comeback until I was off the phone. I like what you told them, I may use it myself if they call again.

@BelleStarr I need to have a sense of humor with it instead of getting angry that they think they can do this to unsuspecting people.

In an ideal world , the FBI would care but this is so below what they care about that it would be a waste of time, this I know fr a fact. But obviously, my scammers didn't!! lol

I didn't but this is what the IRS suggests If you don’t owe taxes or have no reason to think that you do, call the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 800-366-4484 to report the incident. You should also report it to the Federal Trade Commission by using their “FTC Complaint Assistant” on FTC.gov. Please add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments of your complaint.
