California Coastal Trip

This coming week, my husband and I will be spending a few days at a beach resort in Rancho Palos Verdes. It is a peninsula off of Los Angeles County, just north of Long Beach. This trip will be a business conference for him and a nice vacation for me!
It will be a nice change of pace from Laguna Beach, where I usually spend most of my time. I took the above photo from Laguna Beach. Hopefully, next week I will have a few photos of the Rancho Palos Verdes beach for you to enjoy.
Meanwhile, if you don't hear much from me, don't worry. I'll be enjoying myself!

@DeborahDiane I am not a good swimmer, I almost do not swim at all and the Ocean is very dangerous.

@MALUSE and @LadyDuck - I often wade in the ocean and sometimes it splashes me and I have gotten soaked, but I rarely swim anywhere ... pool, lake or ocean. I am not a strong swimmer and I especially do not feel safe swimming in the ocean. You are right ... the Pacific is much colder than the Mediterranean, too!

@DeborahDiane I would love to move to California and live near the beach. The only bad thing would be 1) I would be too far away from my kids and grandkids and 2) earthquakes.

@simone10 - One of our daughters used to live in Louisville, Kentucky. Four years ago she moved near us in California and now she really enjoys days at the beach. She paddleboards and her son surfs!

@simone10 - I am fortunate that one of our daughters and two of our grandkids live near us. Earthquakes are no big deal 99% of the time. Most people do not realize that California has small earthquakes every day. They only rarely cause damage. One of our daughters who lived her entire life in California only felt her first earthquake when she was in her mid-40's.

These conferences seem to be in pretty fun areas. I guess it makes sense. Who would plan one in an unpleasant location? No one would show up! Enjoy.

@garymarsh6 - I also get to eat all the meals with everyone at the conference. So ... I see him for breakfast, lunch, dinner and, of course, at night. The rest of the time, I get to stroll along the ocean, sit by the pool, and have fun! He he
