I rarely use my debit card to withdraw money..but I wanted to yesterday. I had the info on a piece of paper..and a couple of the numbers were blocked out on the paper, as it had gotten something on it. I tried unsucessfully entering the code in the ATM then, I finally thought I remembered it the number then I was locked out for using my card too many times with the wrong pin~..duh me! I hope I do have the right number now..because I would hate to have to order a new card..that always takes forever, and is inconvenient.

You can have the bank reset your PIN instead of sending you a new card. Some will allow you to do it on the phone or online.

@paigea I did not know you could reset a pin without getting a whole new card. I will indeed check on that..THanks! If I can't use the card that is.

When I get it wrong I am alert and second time I am more alert and even nervous. Normally we are locked out after the third time. I think you can call the hot line to reactivate the card - siva

@snowy22315 That is the main issue with the call centers; our patience gets severely tested - siva

It is very annoying when you get locked out after too many wrong attempts.

@snowy22315 I dislike banking. I haven't used my debit card or credit card in months---I use my Paypal card---no fees
