I will differently still wear white. I know it use to be a fashion faux pas but I don't think it matters anymore. People dress however they feel.

I wear whatever shorts and t-shirts appeal to me on a given day. For formal occasions, I sometimes wear long pants.

I say wear whatever you want as long as the right places are covered.

@TheHorse That is commendable but not what I was thinking of.

I know this was a fashion no no when my parents were teens but not with my generation.

I never followed that "rule" . . . I will wear whatever I feel in the mood for that particular day!

Wear white, just be appropriate for your age, etc. I mix in a little white with fall clothing - like white loafers with jeans.

Dang, I'm soaking some favorite high fashion white t-shirts in Oxyclean, along with a Dynaco screen, right now!

I'm doomed, too. I'm wearing white sneakers and not tossing them because the date changed.

I managed to retrieve a very vague memory from my childhood about not wearing white about Labor Day. Nobody ever told me why. So I forgot about it and didn't remember until you mentioned it. It's still a blur!

I didn't know that US Americans had exotic customs like that. What's wrong with wearing white the year round if it pleases you?

I thought about that question today, so I went to my closet and counted exactly two garments that were white. I don't remember the last time I wore one of them. Not my thing. Seriously, though, it seems like those rules have slackened in recent days.
