Beer Swillin' Witches

Last Halloween at Holly's
Santa Fe, New Mexico
September 21, 2016 8:58am CST
I haven't heard of any Halloween parties or anything, so I'm sharing my picture from last year. Holly had a combination house warming/Halloween party, and would you believe I the old lady there was the only one with a costume? Dang. We don't even get any trick or treaters where I live, which is a crying shame. I love to see the kids all dressed up and give them treats. If we got them, I might dress up in my costume. Although I gave the wig away to a neighbor's grand daughter to play with. Do you like to dress up for Halloween? Do you take anyone trick or treating?

I used to love to dress up for Halloween just to get a reaction from coworkers but now that I'm retired I have no reason to anymore. So many in my community spend Halloween at their church so no kids would be coming by and I don't leave home on Halloween either so I'll be here online.

I probably will be here too. Maybe I'll share some old spooky songs in discussions and we can all have a myLot Halloween party.

@DanChrisClark another country I think of longingly sometimes. My niece visited there this summer and loved it.

@DanChrisClark Yes, it has this reputation and this is the reason why we moved here. Tired to live in Monte-Carlo and spend sleepless nights.

We don't get any trick or treaters around here. Two years ago I helped my uncle at his church with handing out candy. He might ask me to do again this year.

No, and Halloween is my favorite. I went as Aladdin Sane David Bowie one year. But not anymore.

Yeah, that is another big drawback to living here no trick or treaters, I miss them alot.

They're so cute, and some of the costumes are real inventive. I remember taking my kids for their first Halloweens and how sweet they were. My daughter star4ted passing out her candy, instead of asking trick or treat, it was so cute.

I wish kids came to our house. I love Halloween. Although I don't like to substitute teach on Halloween party day. That gets a little too rambuncious!

What an awesome picture..looks like a good time! No I usually don't dress up for Halloween I haven't in years but I probably would if I was invited to a Halloween party. I don't get any trick or treaters either and it makes me sad because I enjoy that part of it some much. Where I lived before I use to get over 200, it was great! I loved it! Sometimes I take my grand daughter out trick or treating. Depends if her parents have to work. I am not sure about this year just yet.

We got some trick or treaters in the apartment complex where i lived before. It was well lit and Paradise doesn't have a lot of well lit neighborhoods, so I can see why the parents took their kids there. I missed seeing the little kids after I moved.

I miss the old Halloween parties we used to have when the kids were small. It isn't celebrated much around here anymore and I do miss the dressing up. Great pic!
