Earning from myLot... Specially for Newbies like me...

As a newbie I was thinking how to earn more points here. I have posted some discussions also regarding earnings. Most people said, reacting to other discussions will give more points than making our own discussions... But I have to say that I have discovered that, posting an interesting discussions and making others to comment on them can earn more than commenting others. It's like this..... I compared 2 new accounts with mine,,, they also joined recently same as me. When I was going through their accounts I saw they have less activities than me. But in their post I saw they have mentioned that they have already reached payout or very close to the payout. But still I'm having just $2.3 in my account. Then I went through their activities and realized their likes, comments, responses, and mentions were less than mine, but they have made their own discussions more than me.... So I advice my new friends here to make more interesting discussions and attract others to comment on them, and you will be able to earn more. Happy myLotting...

@amandajay Well for me, I start a few discussions every now and then. I never force a random discussion. I do it when I feel like talking about something or sharing something. People usually don't like small posts. It can be boring. And too long can be annoying lol so somewhere in between is good. I also ALWAYS reply back to every single person who answers my discussions. I do have a few discussions at the moment that I need to catch up on but it is defiantly guaranteed that they will all get a reply from me. Then I try to answer other discussions that are posted by other MyLotters. I try to do as many as I can so there's a chance I will get lots of replies back too. Basically, keep on interacting with others a show that you are a faithful MyLotter. I personally stay away from those who never seem to reply back. No point in interacting with others when they never interact back. Good luck!

One thing many don't seem to be realising is we are not paid for anything we do. You could write 100 discussions and earn absolutely nothing. We are paid according to the interaction we RECEIVE from other members. I'm not getting anything whatsoever for writing this...YOU are as I'm interacting with what you wrote....but if you like and comment back to me I'll earn something. It works exactly the same for anything you post be that a discussion, a response or a comment...it'll earn nothing unless it receives interaction from another member. This isn't my opinion it's a fact confirmed many times by admin and written very plainly in the earnings faqs. "How much can I earn with each discussion, response or comment? - This all depends on how interesting and valuable the myLot community considers it. The more that other myLot users interact with what you post, the more money it will make. If no one reads what you wrote, interacts with it, or otherwise considers it interesting, then you likely won't earn anything."
This is where you will learn all about the myLot Earnings Program

@amandajay not my idea...it's how the site works as evidenced by the earnings FAQ link.

People have been trying forever to figure out the payment algorithm. I don't think anyone really knows. Sometimes my discussions bring me tons. Sometimes my comments earn more. Maybe they change it up from time to time. Meanwhile I can't earn enough to cash out so clearly I can't figure it out. lol

Yeah... May be they change it time by time. I may have compared it during the time they pay more for making discussions... It can be. Thanks for your comment.

I don't have discussions. I earn and always reach the payout every month because of the likes and comments I get on the responses I left on other's discussion.

@amandajay It doesn't follow that those who post discussions are earning higher than me. It's the interaction you get and not the number of discussions as extensively explained by @Mike197602.

@rina110383 ok thanks for yor comment. I know its all about intraction. I mean they pay more for getting intractions for own discussions... I have mentioned it in my discussion... I didnt say only making discussions can earn. Making interesting discussions and getting others attraction can earn more...

Yeah... It can be. I didnt say that you cant earn with only comments. What I mean was we can earn little more from posting discussions and getting others comments. Yes we can earn only with commenting others.. No doubt in that. But Im sure...if you compare your self with someone same as you,,, I mean joined nearly same as you...and if they have posted their own discussions more than you and have got comments too...their earning amount is higher than you. Thats what I mean.

The is good advice. I never really noticed. I have been doing quite well with my earnings and I very rarely post discussions. I never know what to post about so I just comment and interact with others and that seems to be what works for me.

@Happy2BeMe - You have some kind of magic Karma around you. Everything you touch turns to gold. I have never seen a newbie such as yourself, get so many responses the way you do. Most members have to spend months, and even years to receive that many responses. You just showed up one day, and whalla! You were a major hit from the beginning.

I have days where I just interact and read other people's work and days when I also post. I think it keeps it interesting to do both. Lots of people seem to say that it's all about interaction and seem to discourage others from writing too many posts, but if we didn't write posts there would be nothing to interact on. I have no problem with people writing as many posts as they like as long as they also interact. Personally, I rarely write more than 1 post a day and sometimes not even that.

Keep going. You can try to make payout in the next 8 days, if you interact more.
