I literally feel like a fish out of water

While the weatherman keeps telling us in a few days we'll be back in the mid-80's right now it does feel like fall. But when I look at that beautiful pool, all clean and inviting, I know I can't go in. Ruby was swimming earlier and the water is just barely 70 degrees, she loves it cold. she probably was in more today compared to a really hot day a few weeks ago. Of course when she shakes on us it's not pleasant. I haven't put my bathing suit away yet, I'm still hoping I get at least one more dip before we have to cover it. I'm probably dreaming, but who knows. With more time to myself what will I do now? Hum.................. Photo:. pixabay.com/en/goldfish-fish-koi-carp-30837/

@AbbyGreenhill Yeah, if it's not this month surely by next month it should be warm enough...

With the weather here so crazy I will wager you will have a few more days where you could get into the pool. Hope so anyway. What are you going to do with your free time?

free time - let's see.....since we don't do much 'deep cleaning' all summer it will be time to really get behind furniture and vac, dust, do the blinds, etc. Plus more time on here maybe LOL.

We think we have had our last swim now but still have the swimwear available just in case....if we wait too long the water will be too cold, so hopefully this week the temperature will rise to the occasion and then we will get closure on the end of the summer.

Closure on the end of the summer...that's a great way to put it. I think here if it happens for me it will be Wednesday.

Like Ruby I would probably do a quick dip. Then head inside for a warm beverage.

She loves cold. She will go sit outside for an hour and her ears are like two blocks of ice LOL

I know how you feel me to like to be in the water and swim but at this time there is snow on the ground. So I have to just watch the fish in the fish tank have fun

The pool that I go to is a indoor pool so I can swim year around.

I don't even know where there is an indoor pool within a 50 mile radius. I don't 'swim' I just get in the water.

It is always sad when it is time to cover the pool for the late Fall and Winter.

I think this weekend it will get covered, I think we just need to do it and get it over with.

It's good that Ruby is still enjoying her swims. Hope you get a couple more before the warm weather vanishes.

You've had a lovely summer and autumn water-splash. We're now in our second month of Spring.
