Yesterday was our one week anniversary

Roommate has been here just over a week now. She says I spoil her. She passed a test last night. I headed out to pick up hubby from the bus stop. I asked her to boil up some noodles while we were gone. She did as asked and did a great job. Boiling noodles sounds easy. And is. These are whole grain noodles. When my Mom was with us we had a caregiver stay with her one afternoon. I asked that lady to boil noodles. When I got home I tried a noodle. Blech. Oh nasty. She must not have gotten the water hot to boiling when she put the noodles in to cook. Her noodles were wheat paste. I was sorry for Mom cause that was her dinner. I took the leftovers and gave them to the turkey gal and then apologized to her. Its nice and handy having another cook in the house. Life is a pretty good smile at this point.

Okay I seem to be missing something, I didn't realize you had a roommate. I am however, very glad that she cooked the noodles good.

@BelleStarr Yes. A good friend of ours was in dire need so we decided to help her.

@BelleStarr Me, too. It makes no sense in my friend sitting in a motel room that she can't afford while she waits for low income housing to become available.

I have been where I am now a week myself, I need to find ways to become useful. Today I am going to make baked pork chops for dinner and prob start gathering up all the limbs in the yard to take down to the spot in town where they are dumped free at, I would take them too, but...I dont remember where the police chief said to take them!

Well it shows she cared to make sure the noodles came out just right - and she did ! I'm glad things are working out thus far with the new roommate!

@much2say I am too much. It feels good to have a spirit sister with me. Good to hear from you.

@sallypup It's so hard to find the perfect match with roommates (oh you should see the mismatch of all the tenants in the house next door!). To say spirit sister, that's quite a good fit!

@marlina Indeed. You come home hungry and there is nothing quick to fix except those noodles. Not a great time to find that dinner is ruined and you must start all over.

That's good that things are working out so well. Even cooking noodles can take a little skill.

@JudyEv Especially these grainy noodles. They can turn into a pile of gunk in the pan if a person isn't careful.
