I don't believe that drinking coffee will make you stay awake at night. Not until now. It's almost midnight andI am wondering why I don't feel sleepy at all. Minutes after, I reallized that I drink a canned coffee past 5pm. So it's the reason why. I read a research or a friend told me, cant remember the source, that if you drink cofFe after 5pm, you will not get sleepy otherwise, if you drink it before 5,the cOffee will have no effect on you. Indeed! it's working on me now. .

@CoolPeace Oh, I wonder then if it would still have the same effect for those who stay home or don't have to work 9 to 5...

@sishy7 I think it depends on the type of coffee.

It all depends on the individual.

True. My mom drinks coffee at night but no sleeping problem. But if I drink coke or coffee few hours before dinner I can't sleep.

I'm sure this isn't a rule which applies to all coffee drinkers.

Yes, coffee really can make me feel energetic all the time. And if I drink it later, I will be sleepless at night like you. This is why sometimes I will avoid to drink it later. It is better to drink it in the morning.

Yep, if I drink coffee in the late afternoon, I have a lot of trouble falling asleep. Caffeine is powerful stuff.

Well a single cup of coffee will keep us awake for several hours,I had experienced this effect. I don't know exactly but my mummy used to say that avoid coffee before bed,Because it contains a ingredient called caffeine which is a stimulant that will stay in our body for longer time,Ultimately it will disrupt our sleep.

Anything with caffeine will make me tired regardless of the caffeine in it.

It affects me differently at night. If I am not sleepy and I make coffee and have it, I get tired soon..and I soon sleep peacefully
