Ya know, it's one thing to have a Service Dog for those who have serious disabilities on board an airplane; it's quite another to take every other animal known to mankind on board because of 'stress'. These are supposedly called 'comfort animals' and that includes: pigs, turtles, snakes, llamas, turkeys, goats, miniature horse; yadda, yadda, yadda. Are you kidding me?? Personally, I wouldn't want to have to sit next to an un-crated Bull Snake. The airlines are dealing with about 100,000 'comfort animals' per year and the stewardesses are tired of being in charge of a barnyard. What if it's a long flight and the animal has to go to the bathroom? Not only that but have these people considered the STRESS to the animal? Don't you think flying at 30,000 feet have an effect? If your ears are popping when descending to the airport, don't you think the animals ears will too? If flying stress you out; don't fly OR TAKE A DAMN PILL!!!!!!!
Airlines are looking to restrict pets in the cabin to service animals.

Agreed! So just because they don't want to be stressed they get to bring aboard a 'comfort animal' that is going to stress out a whole lot of other passengers. Makes sense!! lmao Foolishness!

And considering how much 'room' is on an airplane, can't you see trying to get around a large animal @Happy2BeMe ? Stewardess, " Excuse me, can you move the llama so I can get the food cart down the aisle?"

I think that this 'stress' excuse is a sham perpetrated by idiots to see if they can get away with it.

These are selfish people, just because i need a damn snake for comfort does not mean the other 300+ passengers have to tolerate it. Or as you say,"dont fly" I wonder how airlines even tolerate such nonesense

@miniam It's come down to being "politically correct" and conceding to everybody's whims and wishes.

@nanette64 In my opinion, it`s the airlines to blame, why accept such rubbish? we live in a world where it`s hard to understand some things.

I agree. I actually don't see how any of the animals you listed above would even be comforting animals. If I was going to have an emotional support animal it would be a dog, cat, or maybe a rabbit. Something cute and soft that would be relaxing to let. Not a snake that doesn't even feel good to touch. I am sure these animals are freaking out being on the plane as well. Sometimes we are so oblivious that these animals also have feelings.

I wonder if once on board that the owner even pays attention to the animal that they brought @CaseyRoss9966 .

And people with allergies would be miserable @STOUTjodee . It's bad enough putting up with kids screaming and yelling and acting like idiots while the parents are oblivious.

How bizarre. I've never heard about that. Maybe European airlines don't do that.
