Adjusting to new job

And this is why I haven't been online for so long. Great to be back. Though I know it's only going to be a short while for today.
Just started with my new job two weeks ago. Can't say I've fully adjusted -- I don't know anyone there when I started, except for the one who referred me to the company (and I didn't get to work directly with her before, so we're not even at the "acquaintance" level until recently). The people have been kind, though.
As for responsibilities, well, my job description lets me do some management stuff, but being the new girl, I'm still kinda shy. I'm trying to get to know my new officemates' quirks and work around them soon.

then she thinks you're good and will fit in even if you were never under her. it's good to get to know your team first.

Yeah, I'm getting to know everyone, from the CEO to my teammates to those I don't really work with directly. It's a small office, so tendency is you get to meet everyone, even if just for a "good morning" greeting.
Right now, I work directly under the one who referred me to the company. She's nice and has been welcoming of some of my ideas. Hopefully I get to have a really good working relationship with her and with everyone.

Thank you! I'm getting to mingle with a few, already eating lunch with them. I think they're nice. Hopefully I get to have good working relations with everyone here.

Yeah, I believe that, too. I'm still adjusting because it's a totally new environment after 8 years in the previous company. Thanks for the kind words.

Yeah, currently lying low and being nice, hehe! But there have been some really nice people around.

Adjusting can be hard at first but after the first week it should get easier
