Great Day So Far

Okay, I was in the pool at 5:30 AM. I know, that's way before some of you have your eyes open. The water was wonderful. And it was two hours this morning. My knee is so much better. Praise God!
I then went to Wal-Mart for something for breakfast and see if I could track down some Thanksgiving/fall decorations and found some 
I got a set of gourds and Indian corn, Thanksgiving kitchen towels and hot pads, a pumpkin plaque that says As for me and my house we will serve the Lord. You can see it in the picture above, so now I'm ready to decorate.
I've also been planning for Thanksgiving, which I'm hoping will be here this year. I'm so excited! I've never hosted a holiday. I always wanted to, but the excuse was that my place was always too small. My sister suggested it yesterday when she was here and I sent her a FB message that I really want to do it and I'll make it work.
I've even been thinking of some games we could do. One has just grabbed hold of me. You all know about Easter egg hunts, well I'm thinking about an acorn hunt. I need to go to a park and find oak trees and acorns and I want to hide them all over the apartment and have small prizes for the winner of the most acorns found. I just need to figure out some small prizes. I think it would be a lot of fun.
I also took a short power nap that was badly needed with only 4 hours of sleep before I got up to head to the pool.
So that's what I've got going so far today besides being here with you and hoping to catch up on my notifications today. I'm getting close.

I had to work all day so haven't been doing much else. This weekend I plan to have a quiet one. It is nice that you decided to host Thanksgiving this year. That will be nice and I like the acorn idea. Your decorations look really nice.

I love the acorn hunt idea! Not sure what good gifts would be, (small baskets of baked treats maybe, or fun thanksgiving decorations perhaps). and I see you got your new suit, awesome

i miss hostin' our holidays here, momma tackles such a task these days although there aint many 'f 's left to enjoy such. the game sounds fun :) my day? cut out/sewed/quilted 'n completed a pillow sham fer momma. listened to the hubs repeat the same story 'bout 8 times since last eve, did 3 loads 'f laundry 'n scrubbed the kitchen fer some insane reason. plans? ne'er make 'em here.

@crazyhorseladycx I invited my son to Thanksgiving today. I've decided not to go to my sister's or my brother's this year. It's been too long since I had a family Thanksgiving with MY family.

Their planning to visit the dentist tomorrow, but today they might go to the doctor because mom has asthma. I had check their names listed so that they can get consulted as early as possible.

Don't you love those heated therapy pools at the gym. Just trying to get caught up with edits, reading, cleaning, and dealing with my phone. And doing Upwork, since the website's now working.
