Fall Mums.

About 2 monthes ago, I bought some fall mums. I pretty ,much wateted them every day, there were a few times I forgot. Now, the flowers are gone. It's pretty much brown. When I pull, it's strong. When I planted them, I didn't put new dirt.
12 years ago, when I planted mums they came back every year for years. Will these come back next year or are they truley dead?

I think that they will come back they are really a hardy plant
