How does myLot pay you? It is very simple...and it is not for anything YOU do

It's like this:
You write a discussion...or a response to a discussion...or a comment to a response.
Those are all actions created by you and you don't earn anything for them. Responses and comments made by you are an interaction to the person the response/comment was made to. So THAT person earns for your responses/comments.
You only earn when someone interacts back with you to those things you wrote.
What you do/give are actions.
What you receive from others is interaction.

@Mike197602 myLot shouldn't have changed the rules of the game. I side with the confused members.

not just new members either...plenty of established members haven't got a clue and go about spreading wrong information...very annoying

@hora_fugit yes they should, it's way more fair this way.
Back on the old site people could churn out endless discussions and get paid...the new way people only earn when they get interaction which makes it a way more fair system in my opinion.
Also, there's no real need for confusion if people read the help section

Do you realize rich you would be if you got a buck for every time you made this explanation post?

Heck, if I made 5 cents each time I'd be financially secure

Ah, it is time for those reminders again. It is kind of like trick or treat. You knock on a door with a discussion, comment or response, and sometimes you are rewarded with the treat of interaction.

I added a tag I'll remember so I can use it as a link as you explained it well

It seems like sometimes I can do it in a few words, and other times I tie myself in knots trying to do it

This was actually a much better post than I thought it was going to be.

I don't know why, but sometimes when I try to explain it, I can't get it to come out quite right, and then once in awhile I suddenly find a simple way to state it.

@MALUSE Did I say it was a compliment. Nor did I say it was a attack. It was a statement.

You are paid for something I am doing right now! So your caption is 'inappropriate'.
By the way, YOU in all caps is attracting my attention in different way all thanks to someone...

I should have put the second part in parenthesis, but instead I changed a word in the first part of the title...

@JolietJake How about "Like" ? If someone gives you a Like does that mean you get paid for someone liking you?

A 'like' shows interest in what you wrote, most of us think that falls under the category for which you get paid according to the FAQs

And there foes the theory most new Mylotters share. I'll just write and write and write and earn big bucks.
