~The Day Has Been Okay~

I wish my son could have had a better day today. Nothing bad happened thank God but I hate that his birthday fell on a weekday because my husband is working and won't be home until late.
He's such a good boy because he seems to be happy anyway. =) We just got done eating soft tacos I made and he loved that!
We still have to make his cake and I know he will enjoy that too. Right now we're waiting for the baby to wake up so we can walk to the park across the street. At least it will get him out of the house on his birthday.
The weather is perfect for the park today! =)

A perfectly adorable little boy who will be breaking hearts before you know it. I hope all his wishes come true. My parents threw me a birthday party every year but they also made it so that they could visit with the parents who were their friends so my parties were always held on the first Saturday after my birthday and of course at times my birthday was on the right day. I however was born on a Friday.

@Rasmasandra Thank you! Usually we have a party but he didn't want one this year. So we're taking him to chuck e cheese this weekend to play. =) I just feel bad for him today...

What a precious little boy! Please tell him there are lots and lots of people on myLot who wish him a very happy birthday. Will his dad be home before Jackson has to go to bed? Hopefully they'll have time to spend a little while together.

And is Jackson, the birthday boy? Most families wait to celebrate birthdays on the weekends when the whole family can be around. I work afternoons until before midnight although I didn't have that whole shift when my girls were young, I still worked around the supper hour. Kids will adapt if we don't make promises we can't keep, especially for things like that.

@Marshamusselman Yes he is! We are doing something this weekend for him as well, taking him somewhere special. =) But I also make a special dinner and we have cake on their actual birthdays. My husband got home early after all so it worked out. =)

It can be hard sometimes as a parent being in the situation. I can remember feeling a similar for my kids and their birthdays. Like my second daughter's birthday last June. She had two friends come. I felt bad she didn't have more friends, but thankfully she still had fun. Hopefully your son still has fun for his birthday.
