Thanksgiving Day / myLot

I have always wondered...this event has been observed since time immemorial and a lot has changed all through the years...can anyone share how you celebrate this day and on what values does your family reflect during the celebration?

Thanksgiving is a day when family gets together to enjoy each other, good food, and usually a ball game. The values I try to bring to the table are thankfulness for all God has given me in the past year and a prayer that the next year will be as good or better.

That is so great to hear Valerie and thank you so much for the great response. Indeed we must all be thankful for what God has given us each and everyday. Since you were talking about a family get together, I bet everyone is so excited once again to see each other and the food will be a sumptuous one. Since "time immemorial"? Not hardly, only a couple hundred years or so. It's been celebrated a bit longer in Canada than in the United States, but both are relatively young countries.
