Built a Complete Artist Website Today

I haven't been around much. I am intending to change that soon. I've been busy doing a lot of background work in the hopes of making money from home. Since I last posted here, my three older boys have moved out and into an apartment of their own. (I have to help one collect his bed later today). I made my wood shop more weather resistant than it was. It isn't pleasant to work in there when the weather is disagreeable but it is functional. The roof still leaks but not to the point of destroying everything. I am building a wood turning website. It will be a lot of work but I have most of the resources at my fingertips now. Hoping to have that live by the end of the week. This morning I built an artist website for my own work. I wanted to make my work from the past available. Partly to make money from that directly but also to showcase that part of my artistic self because I intend to put some of my skill to work adding designs to my woodworking. All the elements are in place, I'm just hoping to get a little critique of my work from friends here. Is it appealing? Is it laid out logically? I'm quite happy with it but I'd rather hear what others think. The website is at It is live. Please let me know what you think. I'm hoping my skill has improved since I built a similar site for my wife.

Whoa, wait a minute. If I am not mistaken, you were a writer and didn't your wife have some artwork and you created a site for her? I lost that link, but I opened yours and you are very talented in many different jobs, like building both online and offline.

The drawing and painting side of me is not very well known. I should have made a link for my wife's site on my own. I added the follow by email option on her site as well.

@Carmelanirel2 I have to write something for her soon. She's been pretty inactive with her art for a period of time. Too tired from our at times crazy schedule.

@koopharper I understand that, I haven't touched my novel in months and unless I get free time with no distractions, I probably never will.

Thank you. Hopefully I'm not too badly derailled for promoting it.

it feels good when you work for something good and it feels good to have client work done the right way.

It does feel good. I have a pretty good handle on the basics of building a website in blogger. I'd love to be able to work in some of the other free blog site programs out there but I only have so much time to devote to it.

Your website is nicely done. I didn't know about your painting either. While visiting with Joanne recently I realized I'd not seen you around the site much lately and now I know why, but I thought I'd come to visit. It's taken me three days to get here. Mostly because my shockwave flash player keeps dying on your page. Partly also, because I've been busy myself.
