Failed to See Longer the Supermoon

Had a chance to get out so early this morning at 5 a.m. because my cat kept making noise at the garage. Thinking it was hungry, I gave it some food; then I glanced at the western horizon and saw the big moon, just colored like an egg yolk. But it set so fast, I failed to see it again after I get in to get my cellphone/camera. The tree canopy covered it, so I thought I can have a good look at it tonight when the weather is fine. Do you also see it in your part of the globe? I hope so.

It would be a vantage point, so nice to have it above the waves!

I guess that's how it is with our phone camera . They are not meant for a good shot at night , outside where the surrounding is a bit dark .

I sent my two remaining at home children outside to see it after supper. It is coming up really bright and clear. Both of them were impressed.

Children would enjoy looking at it; it's a once-in-a lifetime occurrence.

@acelawrites I told them they would never see another one like it in their lifetime. That seemed to pique their curiosity.

Yes, i saw it as the pedicab traversed the road leading to the subdivision where we live at about 8:20 in the evening . . But then , it's not that big . I have seen it even larger than that on its full moon days .

I saw it too at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14 but it's not so big as it was when I saw it at dawn, Nov.13.

@acelawrites I guess what you saw on the 13th was the ordinary full moon. It's actually bigger , though not as bright as the super moon . I saw the full moon last night and the moon was much bigger than at and not as bright also as the super moon .

My IG feed was filled with photos of the supermoon. My friends can't get enough of it and they were taking a lot of photos of it. I've seen it myself. Pretty amazing sight!

@acelawrites I never thought of that! I will have to look out the kitchen window where when I do see the moon it is out of there, but I think it is too early think I read it was best at 5 am but it is only 9:40 at night here! I will go check! Thanks for the idea!

I just came back from stepping out of the deck. The boyfriend is in the hot tub after a long day out and our deck has a good view of the super moon.
