Last Saturday , I had my hair rebonded for 2000 pesos or $40.82 . Actually , my officemate’s former officemate who studied hair rebonding and has her own salon now , offered to do my hair for 3,500 pesos or $71.43 including treatment for my dry and damaged hair from having ironed them myself, every now and then . And she really sales talked to me about her ability to make my hair beautiful again . Wow , that to me is too expensive hence , I went to the salon who does my hair’s rebonding once a year . Then after my hair was rebonded , I went to Watsons to buy a Keratin Hot Oil Treatment , which is on a Buy One Take 1 promo and a fusion oil that can maintain my rebonded hair’s ‘ softness and shine. The rebonding and those treatments in bottles only costs me 2,260.00 pesos or $46.12 , saving me 1,240 pesos or $25.31 and I can use them for many , many times . As always , I am practical . Are you ?

Next time, just go organic with aloe vera plant juice on your hair with coconut oil hehehe! That should be more practical and you'll avoid any allergies caused by chemicals :)

But that won't straighten my big curly hair . I always put them in ponytail so they won't spread much when on jeepneys .

@sunrisefan I like to be in ponytail also because it's cool in this hot climate . Though having it like that all the time , makes my hair even curlier . Besides , i also would like to have it loose . That's because when one is so used to having it , they also want to experience the opposite .

@SIMPLYD I like to look at girls in pony tail :) Sometimes it's confusing - people who have curly hair want it straight; people who have straight hair want it curly. Fair-skinned people want to have tanned complexion and dark-skinned people spend thousands for skin-whitening hahaha!

That is true . I have proven one salon for having a bit affordable price so i chose it over that pricey salon . Though , if she could have lowered her price like that of the salon i always patronize , i can try her salon .

Of course, there re exceptions to th rule, as they say . Like when it compromises the quality . Though in my case, i already kn ow that te salon i always go for rebonding makes quality service.

Sounds like you are very practical. I don't know what women here in the U.S. pay for that but $71.43 sounds like it's way over the top. The promo you mention is called BOGO here. Buy one, get one.

Yes, it is indeed way over the top . No wonder , her sales talk was so much also . And the sales talk made me determined the more not to take it . So, it's called that . I will take note of that and just call it BOGO . A new monicker for that promo .

My younger sister, does things by herself and she saved Php 500. Recently, she did a hair rebond to herself. But because her hair was long and she can't reach all of it, she asked my niece to do the lower parts of her hair...

It is a good thing to be practical. It helps us to save more money. And saving money is wise because you never know when an emergency will happen. I have my hair rebonded once a year but I don't know if I am going to have it rebonded by 2017. The conditioner I am using suits my hair needs and my hair looks great still even it has been almost half a year since it was rebonded. I have found out that using a shampoo every day makes my hair dry so I just use shampoo thrice a week.

@SIMPLYD The problem that comes not washing my hair every day is I get dandruff. Do you have problems with dandruff?

@annierose No , i don't have problem with dandruff . I wash my hair every other day . I do it at nightime when on weekdays , because i don't want to go to the office with wet hair . Besides , i really condition it for more than 5 minutes . Now that it's newly rebonded , last night i had it treated with the hair treatment they gave me at the salon as part of what i paid for . On Sunday , i will have the Keratin Hot oil treatment .

Actually , the girl at the salon told me not to wash the hair everyday lest it will become dry . But i do wash it every other day . My hair became dry because when it was curly and not time for rebonding yet , i iron it . So before having it rebonded again , i researched on how to maintain a rebonded hair . Thus one of those i read is that she uses Golden Fabulous Keratin Hot Oil treatment and uses a a little of fusion oil on her hair to make it shiny and healthy . So, i bought those at Watson's and they are of Buy One Take one Promo . I have yet to try the Keratin treatment once i have used the hair treatment the salon gave me that goes along with their rebonding promo .

Is hair rebonding the process to straighten your hair with chemicals? I thought that this could damage even more the hair.

Yes, my friend . They iron it then put some chemicals to make it stay straight for a long time like up to 6 months to a year . After the rebonding , your hair is so straight , soft and shiny . You just have to maintain it that way .

@LadyDuck I have read that our hair can only grow up to a half an inch in a month . That's why when i die my hair the roots would again be sprouting grays, much to my dismay . Me too my hair grows fast so before the 6 months it is again curly from the roots that have grown .

@SIMPLYD This is what I thought, my niece had the treatment one year, but she is like me, our hair grow so much that the treatment only last about 3 months. I had the same problem when I permed my hair in the 70's, the curls were supposed to last 6 month, but my hair grow more than 4 cm a month.

@SIMPLYD That is true, lil' sis! I am working full time and also have a part-time job. In my spare time I paint and frame art pieces. I am doing this because we intend to come home for a 2-month vacation. At age 60 I will apply for early retirement. And if (during our 2-month vacation) Senator De5 will still need a driver, I will apply. I just saw a picture of the beautiful white house located in Urbiztondo, Pangasinan, she gifted to Ronnie Dayan. . I want to own a multi-million white house in La Union, too.

@toaqua You buy this Keratin Hot Oil treatment at Watson's . Buy one take one , for only 115 pesos for the small one . It will make your dry hair shiny and straight . I even have the spray on Keratin for instant shine and manageability of the hair . Cost if about 90 pesos only .

@SIMPLYD Yeah, I have no problem in regards with its quality. It stays straight for more than 6mos but at that time since the hair grows it is dry and kinky. And I only use shampoo, sometimes conditioner to maintain it.

That's good that you don't let your hair have this . It is actually ironing of the hair then putting a chemical to seal the straightness . How do you make the coconut oil mask? Are those coconut oil sold in bottles at the supermarket ?

I think if i am not going to an office where most are in their 20's and 30's , i won't dye my hair . Though , i would have it rebonded , because i like how my hair looks neat when it's straight , specially when i ride in jeepneys . Curly hair tends to end up looking like a witch after the wind has blown them .

Rebonding , is a way of making you hair so straight , shiny and soft . If only i have a straight hair not big curls that when blown by wind can make me look a mess , i won't spend that much to have it straightened ,

Thanks for converting the currency. All I know is that my long time hairdresser charges me $250.00 for a cut, color, and highlight. He pays my valet parking and even tips the valet for me. I'm thrilled with his work and that's all that matters when it comes to my hair.
