Have you ever been in the big apple?

I want to know what it was like when you took that family tour of New York City. The many places to see. Broadway, Central Park, Those street side hot dog stands and all the things that New Yorkers just take for granted but everyone else envies. And if you were ever in New York, did you get to see Donald Trump? Besides that, have you ever taken a cab ride in the big apple?

I have done everything you mentioned in your post, and more! Although I live in Florida, in my younger days I would fly up to NYC for weekend trips as much as I could. Back then flights were so cheap that it didn't cost a pretty penny to spend a weekend in the Big Apple. And yes, I did meet Trump in NYC, it was back in the 90's, and it was at the Plaza Hotel adjacent to Central Park. I actually bumped into him quite by accident, and he was very nice and gracious. He even chatted with me for a few minutes when I told him I was from West Palm Beach, Florida (he has a mansion in Palm Beach). I've also met singer Billy Idol, and comedian/actor Billy Crystal walking the streets of New York! It's a great city. I haven't taken my kids there yet, but we've been talking about it for the last couple of years.

I have only been in the JFK Airport in New York transferring to another plane. I would love to visit New York City sometime and see the 911 Memorial, Empire State Building & see a Broadway Play. It is on my Bucket List.

I haven't been to New York before. I hope one day I can travel there. After all, it is one of the most famous and representative cities in USA.

I've never been there, and oddly it isn't on my bucket list of things to see and do.

The reason I favor it is because my uncle Worth lived there in Bayshore practically for all his life. I never saw Niagra Falls either. Seems like it would be a grand experience.

@lookatdesktop That would be a great reason to see it. I've thought about Niagara Falls a time or two, I would like to see that.

@Mike197602 (10646), Hopefully, one day you can visit America. Back in 1983, I did visit London England and saw Buckingham Palace, Big Ben & London Bridge. It was a part of a one day tour.

@lookatdesktop Hopefully, you can visit England one day. I was just telling Mike, how I visited London England. It is hard to believe it has been over 30 years since I visited.

I was in the Big Apple when we came back to the States. It is a great city to walk around and get lost in. We did several times. I would love to go back some day.

My husband and I visited NY many years ago. We went during my Easter holidays in April. It was the coldest Easter we ever experienced! Snow-ploughs moved in front of the buses to clear the streets. We had to buy woollen caps and gloves. This was before the Donald entered the stage.

I've taken a cab ride and I've visited the theater, but that was long before I heard of Donald Trump.

You must have fond memories of your time there, as for Trump, well, maybe next time you will get to see Trump Tower.
