-I've got to get this headache out of my mind (another quick rant)-
Wow! I can't believe the amount of b-hurt I am seeing on the news being shown by the young college aged kids. That whole sect of the millennial generation that got labeled as snowflakes.
Many reports and videos of them crying because it wasn't fair. Yearning to be cuddled and placed in a safe zone. Being given coloring books and crafts to calm down. Protesting in the streets shouting #hes not my president. To them their whole world has come to an end, they have no future.
It's very discouraging to watch and know that these are college kids who have yet to experience the "real" world. Do they really expect people to care about their underaged feelings trapped inside an adult body? Are they expecting to be treated with kid gloves?
There is just a huge maturity gap. Society, their environment and the colleges they attend have failed them in preparing them for the transition into the adult world. Somewhere along the way, they got tripped on the path and instead of getting up, dusting themselves off and moving forward, they stayed on the ground crying for someone to come by, lift them off the floor and walk them by the hand down the yellow brick road.

Don't you know #TheresNoSuchThingAsMillenials?
And one of the 'roots' of the problem here is the general unfairness-of-life---where for-instance President Trump can 'twiddle his thumbs' (or--more accurately--Tweetle his thumbs) and throw the whole Congress into the investigation of some mythological rumor (that President Obama 'tap(p)ped the wires' at Trump Tower), while most people's serious & factual Tweets are treated like the noise that they are (and they cause absolutely-nothing)
The feeling echoes the jealousy commoners feel about royalty---commoners work harder-&-harder 'just to make ends meet,' while 'royalty' (like 'rich kids' today) have their wishes & positions handed to them simply because they 'had the right parents.'

@mythociate - over protective parents who were determined to never say no their child?
i wonder how many of the millennial parents were the only child, and how many of the millennials were the only child. is this only happening in schools with a majority of the teachers on the left side of politics? so many questions. interesting nonetheless.

Every generation has its cry-babies. I remember 'protesting' over some things which seemed important at the time, but in hindsight are rather silly. This bunch of muppets do seem to be more immature and have more an air of entitlement about them. I blame the internet!

the tipping point was when my friends 4 year old child was throwing a tantrum and on cue, on the t.v. was a news report and video of the snowflakes/SJW millennials sitting on the floor bawling their eyes out and throwing a tantrum, just like the 4 year old in front of me.

I kind of get what you mean, but I guess every generation feels the same about the younger ones.
