'Earnings' are really just a bonus here. At first, you may find it difficult to make even the minimum of $5 a month but, as you begin to get the feel of the place and as people get to know you and respond to your discussions, responses and comments, you will begin to find it worthwhile. It's important to remember that you earn nothing just for posting. It is only when others interact with what you post (by responding, commenting, liking &c) that you will earn anything. Of course, the more that you interact with other people, the more they will be likely to interact with you! You should read both the Community Guidelines (i.e. 'rules') and the Earnings Program FAQs which you'll find under "Help" in the menu beneath your username at top left.
