I will be doing a lot of baking on Monday. If you bake, then what do you make? I'll be starting with Chocolate Chip and Oatmeal Raisin. If I have time will do some jams, as not sure how many cookies we will be making this year. I haven't seen my daughters list yet. i may make this picture on Tuesday.

I plan to bake a Christmas cake, something I used to make in France and that it's called "Buche de Noel" (Yule Log).

I remember Yule Logs, as my Aunts use to make them every year. They were so good. I have never made one and maybe next year I should try making one. This year already promised chocolate and it takes me awhile to get enough made with just the right number of footballs and baseballs. Also might make some holiday shapes, as don't have a complete plan yet.

@Fishmomma I have several boxes of good chocolates that I already received as Christmas gifts. I am going to bake some biscuits (cookies).

Thanks I am so thrilled to start cookie baking and have everything needed. Cookies and milk will be ready for Santa and he will be on low sugar and lactose free this year. Happy holidays

I don't bake much anymore, but when I do, it's usually Toll House Cookies. My wife has been baking for a week. The first beneficiaries of her work were the people at her office. Now she's baking for our sons, who are both coming home for the holidays.

That is great that your sons are coming home for the holidays. Toll House are great cookies. We did some baking for the library already and several kinds of cookie recipes have been tested, as I keep printing out new recipes to try.

@Fishmomma My wife is always trying new recipes from the internet and making me her guinea pig. Fortunately, most of them have been good eats.

For some, the baking is part of the daily routine.

I agree and have been baking for many years. The holidays are special, as my daughter and I bake together. Two years ago we baked for the entire street and this year many of my neighbors are going out of town, so baking for a few less people.

i generally bake a chocolate or a lemon cake. Though no one except me, at my place is a fan of baked items, so i rarely get to bake!

Yes white chocolate and added the stripes after the chocolate cooled the next day. Now I have my daughter do the stripe, as she can add the color of the team, which is blue. I live in Southern California where I see Dodger Clothes everywhere.

I do not bake much any more but am feeling a bit inspired by all the making and baking talked of on Mylot.

One of the Mylot Members suggested the photograph when I was looking for something different. I go to my kitchen to make gifts, as feel they are more personal. I had mentioned how much several friends love football and baseball, so now they get some chocolate.

When I used to bake, I always made Snickerdoodles, thumbprint cookies and peanut butter blossoms.
