I Just Can't Believe This

I just can't believe my eyes. Guess what I just saw on the web? A Valentine's ad on the right side of the screen where it was talking about Christmas. Can you believe it? Why do the advertising companies have to ruin everything? Don't they know about "each thing at its own time"? I am frankly disgusted about that, are you?

It's all about money and profits to these companies. The sooner they can get you to start buying things for the next holiday, the sooner they can get rich and laugh about it all the way to the bank! And for me, with each passing year it just disgusts me more and more, to the point where I am starting to shun materialism as best as I can, and simplify my life and get back to the basics. Life is so much more enjoyable once you can break free from the shackles of consumerism.

@marlina I am working on getting there myself. I'm getting close. I feel so much better about my life now, without all the stress and worry of having to keep up with the Joneses.

I am also disgusted and right now I am seeing as "suggestion" two posts written a little less of one year ago the 14th of February with a Happy Valentine. I think they should do something to ban this practice.

I think that the suggestions have to do with the tags in our posts.

@marlina "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; ... A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;"

Yes, you are right about this one: from a song which I can't remember the title. @xFiacre

Yes, you barely have been enjoying a particular festivity and then they intrude with something not even on the calendar yet. It annoying and insensitive.

That is far too early, we still have Christmas and New Years ahead of that day, and they are both true holidays not special days like Valentines is.
