Is this laughable or not?

I received my social security new benefit amount the same. This is due for the rising cost of living. The increase 0.3% equal just enough to cover medicare monthly premium. This payment was enough to cover the increased and nothing left for me.The increased cost of living was needed to pay the government for me.I need medicare and cannot live without it.I am very grateful to be able and continue my fair share to the increased premium for medicare. Happy New Year The payment still the same as last year. Photo by public

@amadeo I guess if I didn´t have other means, I´d be in a bad shape. Leticia (and I) have a very bad monthly payment that is not a living but covers the health insurance. The minimum age of retirement for men are 65 years of age and 30 years working. With women it is 60 years and 30 years working.

The cost of many essential things is rising at a higher rate. Some of us will be having a rougher time in the days ahead.

They make a great fuss about a rise but it is often eaten up before you even get it.

Here it is 2016 and Americans still can't get proper affordable healthcare. The political leaders are supposed to be smart and capable men and women. Isn't that why they were elected? What you say is a disgrace! It would be understandable if we were a poor country. But we're not. We're blessed beyond measure and have no excuse for not providing for our own citizens. It's a legitimate criticism and complaint. Nevertheless, though things aren't perfect, God bless America. Maybe one day real change will come.
