It is 5am and i am wide awake

Just sitting here sipping on my morning coffee waiting for my fiance and grand daughter to wake up so we can hit the road. I am anxious to get going so we can get there. I didn't sleep much last night and I doubt I will sleep in the car. My fiance doesn't like me to sleep while he is driving because it makes him tired. My grand daughter will probably sleep most of the way so that will be good. It will help the time passes quickly for her.

You must be excited to get going.
Its only 4:36 here, and I'm up and am sipping on my first coffee and have a load of wash in the machine.
Its not due to excitement that has me up-its cold in our house!
So, I'm babysitting the reset button on our furnace so that it stays on and the temperature in the house rises some.

@Happy2BeMe I turned the fireplace on, which will help. This is a natural gas outfit, and it was very expensive, so we're less then pleased with this issue, especially during this week, peppered with 3 stat holidays. I am thankful that the outdoor temperature is close to freezing and not too low.

Whenn my husband drives, I will not sleep or play the mobile phone. Usually I will talk with him so that he will keep a clear mind to drive. Of course making him have a peaceful mind is also my task. I think I am also an important role who sits besides him

I hope you enjoy your trip and your visit . My ex-husband was that when he was driving at night he needed someone to help keep him awake so me and my son always took turns helping him out.

5 am is routine with me. In fact I am up earlier than that many times as I sleep early too.

I find it difficult to sleep before a big trip too. And I try to stay awake while Vince is driving but then when he gets tired we swap drivers and he promptly goes to sleep! And by then I'm quite tired too. But if I can relieve him for a while he wakes up refreshed and takes over again.

That is a great idea. My fiance usually does all the driving even though I offer. He wouldn't sleep when I was driving because he complains about how I drive all the time lol

Yes that happens. The motion of the car puts me to sleep when I am a passenger.
