Do You Allow Pets on Your Furniture?

Since Orville, the osprey, still hasn't made an appearance, I became homesick for Doodles, the cat. I looked at my photos and found one of him on our new couch. He knows I don't like him on my new furniture, but there he is anyway. I think he looks very guilty. He has cat and dog beds and blankets throughout my house. Cats do what they like, no matter what. I just want him to be happy and content. I love him. Do you allow pets on your furniture?

I am guilty of letting my dog on the couch. She feels more like one of my kids than a dog and she looks so cute when she lays up here!

@DianneN Thank you! She's such a sweetheart and I probably spoil her a little too much but she's so cute and so good. =)

Whoa! That's one big beautiful doggie you have! I'm sure she enjoys her naps on your couch. I agree. Pets are our precious babies to be cuddled, pampered, and loved. Terrific picture!

I don't have pets, but when my son visits and brings his dog yes he is on the couch. But I always close my bedroom door I don't want him on my bed. He is just so darn cute.

@DianneN Thankfully I remembered to close the door as he got to my house. One time I didn't and still he didn't go in, it's like he knew not to. I do however open all the curtains in my living room and he goes from window to window to check out the scene. He gets up on the window sill with his front paws, it's just the cutest thing. Even a leaf falling from the tree is good fun lol.

@fishtiger58 Too funny! My dogs scratched the wood trim looking out the windows from our couches. Not cute!

Yes, I have no problem with my furmily napping on my bed or anywhere else they want to nap. Of course I keep the covers over the bed so that when I retire I won't get pet hair all over me while I sleep.

Hair can be a problem, but one comment informed me to use a magic eraser. I'm a bit more worried about pulled threads when his claw gets stuck in the weave of this furniture.

@atoz1to10 All indoor. You have no idea how many litter boxes get scooped every day or the cash spent on food and vet bills.

I'm so sorry you are allergic to dog and cat hair. One of my cats caused my eyes to itch like crazy, so I didn't pet her too much. I've heard that pet allergies can be awful.

I don't think he looks guilty. To me he has that 'I dare you to make me move' look on his face. He's such an adorable kitty. I hope Orville is all right and puts in an appearance soon. Yes, I did allow my dogs on the couch. I couldn't stop her anyway.

I let the fuzzy beast stay. It wasn't worth arguing with him or having him get his claws into the fabric, which he already pulled. My husband had to fix it by cutting a thread. I'm sick over Orville. He hasn't been around all day. Animals seem to do what they want, especially when we're not home to see it. Lol!

Whether I like it or not he is on the Sofa most times of the day so to keep the peace I have to allow him to be there. Nuff said I also have three mats for him to lie on or be on throughout the house. I donĀ“t mind him being on the Mats but not on the Sofa. Its a dog who I am talking about by the way. Nice photo of your Cat.
