I have a concern about my one cat: Is he obsessed?

I have more than one cat, but the one cat has strange behavior when it comes to how he acts around me. He stares at me, he can't seem to detach himself to me for anything throughout the whole day. I can pet him but he never gets enough. I have to actually set in a chair so I can write, because if set on the couch he has to come over. If he hears me from another room, he instantly comes beside me. Then when I do pet him I have to pet him forever it seems or he will bite me. He is over 10 years old but truly is obsessed over me. If others come over to the house he could care less about attention for anyone else. He strains almost to get to me. My other cat will not even come up next to me most days due to the fact Zinger the obsessive cat is with me. It just doesn't seem healthy for a cat to stare at you like he does me. I have to look down when I think he is staring because it is almost haunting. Love from our loving pets are to be thought of as special, but when you can't get any space should you feel bad wanting time without them constantly hovering around. I have been struggling to cope with this obsession. Tinker my other cat is a normal loving cat. He wants attention and I love giving him attention, but it is not constantly. Have any suggestions? Other people laugh at his behavior but they think it is odd looking.

reading your post make me wanting to look for my cat and hug her... My cat is not like that at all. She just wants to be by herself most of the time and only looks for us if she is hungry... I am going to have a new kitten soon, but I have to wait until it get a little bit older before it can be given to us. :)

I read an article recently that said that your cat is always secretly plotting to kill you. They can't help themselves, they have this hunter instinct. So while they accept food, shelter, affection, etc., there are times when they simply sit and stare and think about how to hunt you. Luckily, we are much too large to be prey, so they usually go back to curling up in the sun to sleep.
