I Hate To Brag But....

I have the world's best grandsons. Two of them are house sitting and dog sitting for me while I am in Florida. Not satisfied with just sitting they insisted that we give them a list of chores to do while they are there.
I told them I need the dining room painted and the woodwork on the new windows painted. They have already started and we have only been gone since Sunday.
Did I mention that Alex is getting me a new microwave for Christmas and he and his dad will install it while we are gone. I am so amazingly proud of these boys.
And not to be outdone, I just got a call from Jack telling me that he baked a cake. Yes, 5-year-old Jack with his mom's help baked a homemade from scratch chocolate cake and he told me it was delicious!!! They did from scratch frosting too.
Being a grandma, it is a very good thing!!!

@BelleStarr Aging there are plenty of things that we cannot do anymore. I remember when my grandparents had their house flooded, we (grandkids) all came to clean the house, repaint the inside and the furniture. It was a big job, but they were lucky because we were 12 grandkids in total to work in the house.

Your pride shines through in your words! I can't wait to teach my granddaughter to knit, crochet, sew, and cook. She will be a good study too. She is very curious. First I need to teach her to stop putting everything in her mouth. Little bugger!

@BelleStarr my granddaughter will be 2 years old in April. I will start her baking cookies soon. She of course will probably try to eat more cookie dough than she bakes!

I did teach my grandsons to crochet and cook and my granddaughters too!! We had cookie making every year for many many years.

@JudyEv Thank you, I like to think so!! lol They actually come over to play cards and games with us or to just visit, I guess that is not that common for young men of this age.

Yes it sure sounds like you're getting the royal treatment but I know you would be the kind of grandma that would well deserve it! Enjoy the warm weather- what's the temp right now?

I am in Savannah Ga at the moment and it is 69 degrees, quite comfortable.

What a great thing they are doing for you, not the chores just keeping your house alive and happy while you are gone. They sound like great young people...The cake sounds good too...
