That's never a good sign. I usually end up doing my own brakes, since there's no sense paying someone else $150 or more to do them.
Hopefully the grinding isn't a sign that the rotors or drums are damaged. Have you looked at them since it started making noise? If it just started making the noise, it's totally possible that you have something stuck up in between the pad and the rotor.

It started a few weeks ago although I realized that was ice . These ones literally sticking and not stopping the 100%. I haven't got them fine in years. So it's most likely needs done. Issue is I cant get the bolts off in the winter. If my dad can't then I'd have to pay someone.

@ricki_911 Ah, that makes a lot of sense. It probably wouldn't be worth it to get an impact wrench if you don't need one for any other reason, huh? Hope he's able to get it done for you!

@yukimori THEY Freeze On This Time Of Year. Which is what happened last time as well. It may have been mild enough to get them off.

yes you need to get them ficed as soon as you can
