I used to respect organised religion until I saw so many men of religion go to war with others because they want to have this personal power that says they are right about what they believe. It is ridiculous and it is creating a world of horror. I now choose to think of God as something in my heart, perhaps like the decision to be a good person, kindness, love etc.

God does exist, and he is All loving, that is why he gave us a way to be forgiven for our Sins..A way to have a Relationship with him....
Where is it said that God wants us to carry out wars in his name............Satan is the one that lies, kills, steals and destroys....

So what you are saying is that God can not exist unless there is nothing but Heaven everywhere, right?
Perhaps, instead of merely reacting to what you see, you attempt to Understand. How can wars and conflict be Unconditional Love? There is a way.
All the secrets of the universe stare us in the face. Can you see? Do you have Understanding? In this time-based causal universe, God's actions can be seen. Nothing is hidden. Much discovery awaits. Knowledge will change the view dramatically. There is much work ahead for you before you will see.

I believe there's a spiritual God inside us, then there's a symbol used to justify crimes.
Okay, the first statement might not be true, but the second is obvious.
The human nature is flawed enough for this to happen.
You want to do something that is morally bad, just blame someone else for what you do.
It could be a god, a political figure, a celebrity, a relative, a friend, a partner.
The question is why God allows this to happen?
I don't know why God allows others to insult him, and at the same time love isn't about granting wishes.
Love is just about caring, he wants you to learn from your mistakes and become stronger if you got hurt.

Humans do a lot of things that are in disobedience to a merciful God. We have free will and we use it for evil.

Why does he have to be all loving? Is God God or is he some construct we made him up to be? You decide.

Yes he does. Even if we can't see him.. You most definitely can feel him
