I will not be changing TV services after all!

I called my satellite tv provider a few days ago to cancel my service as my contract was up. I had intended to get Hulu or some other very cheap service. I talked to the person and she tried to offer me discounts and I told her I did not want discounts, I could not afford the service and I did not want anything with a contract. Well, I went from paying $64 a month with a contract to $27 a month with no contract and all my services remain the same--even the DVR! Remember this! If you cannot afford a service you like or want just tell them to cancel it, be very nice to them but firm, and you will probably get a good deal. I think a lot of subscribers are dropping their services in favor of Netflix, Hulu, Roku, and others. I'm glad I called! Have you gotten an unexpected good deal lately?

Good for you! It really pays to make a call when we are not happy. They make nothing if you leave them, but at least get $27 b/c you will stay.

Oh, I had a big fight with them yesterday after getting a bill for nearly $70. It got so bad that I felt I had to apologize to the poor girl for yelling at her. She finally was able to take care of my bill and had also said I have a contract and that really set me off. All is well now. If I have to do this again next month I'm gone!!

I was all set to sign up for Hulu. $12 a month with no commercials and you can watch your favorite shows the day after their air. I kept my other service because it's so convenient and now at a price I'm willing to pay. Look into Hulu, I think you would like it and it's a great price.

We only have Netflix here. But I don´t have it at all as we live in a place a bit far out and the Telefonica don´t cover this place at all not for the Television anyway. Seems like you have done a great deal though.
