Really? Do the presidential protesters in DC are tearing up the sidewalks throwing bricks. This is insane ! The police is there, National Guard and I believe a military motor cycle group. They are trying having to throw out tear gas or smoke bombs to try and break up these groups. So far only a police officer has been hurt by thrown debrit! The protesters are also trahing limosenes and starting fires! This is insane! I am sure this makes the Obama's sad and disappointed in these people!

Their actions are an insult to both the incoming president and the outgoing one. You did not see this when Obama took office, either time, even though many conservatives were very upset. To do this when he is making a gracious and dignified exit is insulting to the entire Obama family and every American. I hope they make a lot of arrests, especially of the ones that are throwing things at the horses and spitting in the faces of police.

@Mike197602 If there were, it wasn't widely publicized here. The media picks and chooses what we see, despite claiming that we have a "free press".

@dragon54u I remember on here the hate for obama...I was here and saw literally hundreds of discussions about his birth certificate etc. The tea party springs to mind...they protested. Obama won, people should deal with it or vote him out...they gave him a second term. Trump won...people should deal with it or vote him out in the next election. My issue is if people hate trump and feel disenfranchised because he didn't win the popular vote...protest peacefully for electoral reform, don't smash up peoples shops that's just plain stupid.

Those type of protests happen in many European countries when big events are on. The last I remember here in Italy was wnen EXPO opened in Milan. Are they unusual in US?

They are stupid. Smashing up shops...what'll that do??? Trump has won so they should suck it up and if they don't like what he does vote him out in 4 years. These "protests" achieve nothing...we get those idiots over here too and they're just morons.
