Using the Powder Room

When guests come to visit, they often need to use the guest bathroom.
The guest bathroom is always ready for guests.
I put out nice smelling organic soaps, both liquid and solid. I fold the toilet paper into pretty shapes. I keep tissues in plain sight. I keep the bathroom clean and tidy. There are room deodorizers, too, along with a ceiling vent. I especially put out pretty fingertips towels, just for guests, and leave them on the sink.
So why do guests insist on using our personal face and bath towels? By the way, they are only there for display, but the guests don't know that.
Guests will be here in less than an hour! Ttyl!

I lay out hand towels next to the sink for our guests to use. I am trying to remember if anyone actually used the bathroom when we last had a houseful. I think not because the towels were still neatly folded next to the sink.
My brother and his wife remove all of their personal towels in the bathroom and put a box of Kleenex disposable hand towels on the towel bar.

@ElusiveButterfly Never! Wouldn't you use the guest towels if they were right there??? It's funny, but no one used the bathroom before we went out.

@paigea I did that once, but not only did the bathroom look empty, but it echoed as well. Such dilemmas I have. Lol! I was the only one who used the bathroom before we went out for dinner, but I used mine. Perhaps we can hang soaking wet towels and hope they use the dry guest towels. Then again, we can beg them. I just want them to wash their hands!

Maybe they don't have hand towels at home? I like that liquid soup bottle though

We only have one bathroom and I keep it cleaned and have a towel hanging on the towel bar for anyone to use when needed. My mom uses the little hand towels by her sinks in both bathrooms with liquid hand soaps in both bathrooms.

Where are the personal face/bath towels located?
Maybe the ones at the counter, they feel if they messed it up they dont know where to put it?

@DianneN I think I would use the towels hanging to wipe my hands dry. Those are too pretty and I'd think it's for decoration.

Very pretty towels. We actually use our guest bath frequently since it is closer than the one in our bedroom. But when guests are here we make sure it is private and ship-shape lol

You have a very clean powder room. I like your holders/dispenser especially the beads on them. They look so elegant.

Anyway, whatever they use those are so pretty to use and look at. What a lovely Bathrom it seems from the little bit I can see.
I most always try to use another towel too and not theirs I ask them first if I can.

I think its only right really. If I go to someoneĀ“s house I try to use another towel or paper towels if they have them or if not I shake my hands dry.

@lovinangelsinstead21 I certainly wouldn't want water splashed all over my shiny mirror. Lol! Most people I know put out guest towels. You are invited to my house any time!

Haha! Maybe they think it's mussing up your lovely guest towels or something. You may even have to tell them--lol!
