I get more comments when I start talking about food and drinks.

Like most of us, food and drinks are a necessity of life. And variety the spice of it. Then I can get many comments about donuts, or doughnuts, but when I post a discussion about space exploration I get practically nothing in the order of comments or likes. Could it be that there are a lot of hungry myLotters here? I would imagine so. I get hungry just talking about being hungry for donuts, steak, or chocolates. That said, I guess I should try to combine food with astronomy. So why not a chocolate planet? Why not a planet with chocolate mountains, molten fudge volcanoes and marshmallow clouds? Hmm. what a great idea. So right now I am orbiting Planet Cheeseburger. It's sun is made up of molten yellow nacho cheese that shines light down on Planet Cheeseburger. It's moon, a large malted milk ball, orbits the planet with the same smiley face looking straight down on the inhabitants who are made mostly of cookies with marshmallow eyes and have hot chocolate in their veins. They speak a language that goes something like this: "We all live on a Cheeseburger world, seeking higher life forms in the oceans of mocha cappuccino waves with frothy foam on the graham cracker crumbs that line up the beaches." So forth and so on. I'm too hungry to go on.

You are correct...discussions related to good usually give better results. I think because everyone can easily relate to them

Looking at that picture you posted, I feel a heart attack coming on. I won't mind dark chocolate though.

In moderation even a Chili Cheese dog can make a person feel like they are in paradise in their tummy that is.

@TheInvisibleMan Actually, I watch what I eat very carefully so I don't envisage a heart attack in my near future, but one never knows what may happen along the way.

This is most likely because a simple post about food or drink is easy to comment on.

Too much food, that would make me sick! What do these cookie humanoids eat? I know we can eat them, but I wonder what they eat. Maybe they eat us. This discussion made me want to give a look at your recent space discussions, food is a language everyone speaks and it's real, visible and can be touched. Unfortunately the universe is so distant we can easily ignore its existence. And it's also scary for some, knowing that we're a tiny waterdrop in a huge ocean.

@TheInvisibleMan But space isn't that bad either. (An impressive annoying amount of Mathematics and Physics perhaps)

More people are interested in food (guess that would be every human) but not as many interested in science/space.

The moon was said to be made of cheese once. Maybe that idea was from a very hungry astronomer from a time when cheese was a comfort food. But I think cheese still is. I need nachos ASAP!

@MALUSE I don't either. I bet they are happy when they get back to Earth and can try to adjust to eating more of their favorite foods but I wonder if they suffer from certain kinds of tummy troubles going from those tubes of pre made foods to the real thing back at home on Earth?

Planet cheeseburger seems like a good place to get a mid-morning snack! I guess food and drinks are easier topics to comment to compared to space exploration.

I know it. And food for thought is also getting me wanting to go out and pick me up some burgers at a local Jack in the Box cause they sometimes stay open past midnight. And I get these cravings sometimes.

Oh my why did you have to go and get me hungry? It is past midnight here in Latvia. Now I might just have to have a midnight snack. I usually get hungry while I work for hours on the PC.

Yep. But my main thing is, I like doing some taste tests on the new recipes my wife tries out. I sometimes can't wait for dinner to be served so I will snack from the bowl or the tray and this tends to only make waiting for the meal seem that much harder to do.
