So Far This Day

I woke up earlier today so I could mail a package. The Post Office here is open on Saturdays from 8 am to 12 pm, so I had to make sure it went out early. It was 29 degrees Fahrenheit at 8:15 am this morning. It was freezing and slight frost was present on the grass. That is a big change from earlier in the week when the weather was unseasonably warm. But then that is how our weather is here in the South, constant change from one extreme to the other during the Winter months.
Then my College age son is home for the weekend and he went golfing. I don't understand how he can play golf in freezing cold weather, but he loves it. I would literally freeze and feel miserable if I had gone along with him, LOL.
Then before I came online, I started doing laundry and watering the plants and a stupid branch with a kind of fine end hit me in the eye! It literally slightly poked my left eyeball. My eye looks fine but kind of feels irritated.
So, we shall see how the rest of the day will go. How are all of your days going today so far?

I hope your eye will be all right. My day started at 4 this morning. I was on the road to Wal-Mart by 4:30. I didn't have much to buy, but it's supposed to snow today and I wanted to get what I needed taken care of and get home as early as possible. It's also the best time to find a decent parking spot. I got my Bible Study done when I got home and then because I was up so early, I went back to bed for a short nap.
It was very cold this morning - 5 degrees F, but that is changing as the clouds come in for the storm we're expecting.
I also worked on a manuscript this morning and watched a movie. Now I'm here for the moment and will try to make a dent in my notifications, which have been piling up over the past couple days because I haven't been able to be on myLot as much as usual. I'm also expecting my older son some time this afternoon, at which time I won't be able to be here again. So doing what I can to get as much accomplished as possible.

Wow that is cold, glad you got your shopping done before the snow. I got to get motivated with writing. I have said to myself for awhile that I should write a book, but I keep putting it off and putting it off. I just need to start doing it.

@LeaPea2417 That storm ended up being mild flurries. I saw the slight evidence on my car the next morning. We're expecting another storm tonight into tomorrow. Rain/ice/snow. A mess.

It is very chilly here today. Only supposed to get up to 55 degrees! Just yesterday I was sweating outside, so strange.
Oh no I hope your eye feels better soon-that sounds painful. =(

Those enjoy golf would probably play in the snow if someone would let them!

Golfing in cold weather I can almost understand - going out on a fishing boat in this weather I don't understand yet we see people towing their boats to the lake!

I saw a video on Youtube about people who love to ice fish on Lake Michigan in the winter, where they drill the holes in the ice and fish. That looks so cold and unpleasant.

We're having cold weather finally after Jan being warm for winter. I don't know how your son golfs in the cold especially when he needs to hit that ball...don't his hands get cold?
